MIMM: Making the best of it
Hello and happy Monday, Marvelous Monday that is!
I am sooooooo happy to report that on Sunday morning, we got our power back. It has been a… interesting past few days, little overwhelming but very grateful we were able to spend one night at my sisters and the remainder three nights with my mom. Philadelphia & four other surrounding counties, including ours declared a state of emergency. Chester County was most-impacted, with about 95,000 homes without power! The fact that we haven’t been home since we left for DC was starting to kick in. All is well, time for us to go grocery shopping since everything had to be tossed!
Even though we had no power, I still did my best to make the most of it. Lots of down time and spent with family.
Here are some pics from the weekend!

A trip to Costco, my mama treated me to some “bulk items” and insisted that I get the BIG bag of chocolate chips : )

Thanks Katie for making Monday a little extra special!
I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and my birthday week! Saturday is so close, but far away.. can’t wait for birthday dinner with my girlfriends in the city, and… NO MORE snow please!

WIAW: Mood boosting smoothie
Hi guys! Happy hump day/Wednesday / thanksgiving eve 🙂
I am feeling super ready for tonight + tomorrows festivities. Lot’s of goof things to look forward too. Friends, family + food!
This morning and yesterday I spent time in the kitchen to start prepping things for tomorrow. { Butternut squash salad + pb pie (attempt 2 since first pie curst broke} 😦
I think I’m on a sugar high right now! 🙂
This week I wanted to link up with Jenn over at peas and crayons for this mood boosting smoothie.
How many of you ever just feel like “BLAH” for no reason. {Hi! ME} Yep, this happens to be prior to that time of the month.
On Monday, before the salon, I literally layed in bed + did homework and wasn’t motivated for anything… I mean, how could I not be stoked to get to the salon and pamper myself. Insert –> mood boosting smoothie.
ingredients:
1/2 cup frozen berries
1 banana
1 c. vanilla almond milk
1 cup raw kale
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp. peanut butter
1 cup ice
Blend well, serve.
For that time of the month, or blah feeling, these ingredients are great. potassium from banana, greens for energy + cocoa/ chocolate = instant mood booster {it’s a fact} 😀
Welp, going to go finish something’s + the girls are coming over tonight and heading out for some drinks!
Have a great thanksgiving!!!! ❤
Question:
How do you deal with those feelings?
TYT: relax, spoil + LOVE y.o.u

Sunday after shopping, I came home lit some candles + had some down time with the 90120 cast 🙂
Stealing treats from my mom’s chocolate stash, always a good idea 😉
yesterday I treated myself to getting my hair done. Nothing beats some new color + a blow out.
& lastly, someone else treated me ..
George brought home a new black bag for me from a I have tonnnnnnns of different shade brown bags, it’s nice to know I know have a black one to add to collection 🙂
>> How did you treat yourself this week?

I just got to the coffee shop where I need to get some work done, but wanted to link up with Jenn and share these little ballz of goodness, hehe.
… If you’ve been reading for awhile, you can probably tell I really like to snack on protein ballz. I’ve posted a pumpkin flavor, & traditional. I make these ALOT. But, I had to share another! 1) They are easy! 2) Super customizable! possibilities are endless & 3) Their so good! Simple enough right? 😉
>> So, how about protein ballz that are dipped in a creamy chocolate coconut mixture? … { yum } 😀 <<
