PB & plum + Friday favorites: Cape Style

When I got back from the cape, I had a jar waiting for me.. an empty jar : ) Oats in the jar with a childhood spin on it..

Between the peanut butter & plum {with a drizzle of honey} it was like a pb+j sanadwich for breakfast. The fact that the plum was warm & swirled in there.. it was a winning combination!

…. I haven’t done a Friday favorites in a while. On Wednesday, I shared some foodie pics from our little getaway.

>> Here are some of my favorites!

1: Hydrangeas- They are the staple item of the cape, during the summer.
Blue, pink & purples line up the streets where ever you go.

2: Chatham we always take a trip over to Chatham to walk around, shop, eat & explore!
I got a lot of funjewelry to go along with the original cape cod bracelet. A fun one with the cape logo on it along with a anchors.. so summery! Plus we tried some new olive oil from Gustare, I really enjoyed the chipotle flavor but the sicilian gold was the winner.

3: Sandbars the beach we go to has sandbars for miles. Just sand & sky!

4: Mini golf! …  It’s hilarious to play & watch all of us get sixes. but somehow I won 🙂

5: Walks on the beach & exploring. My all time favorite thing to do!
This year I did not spot any sand dollars, but lots of hermit crabs 🙂

What’s a favorite from your vaca?!

Happy weekend

WIAW #1: Cape Cod edition

Good morning! Happy hump day : )
We are officially back from the cape & missing it. This year was way to short. { we did only go for 2.5 days, but my dad gets a house for longer } we talked about a million & one things we wanted to do but couldn’t cram everything in. next year must go longer, for sure!

I have many pictures from the Cape, but since it’s Wednesday, I thought I would join in
Cape Cod edition.
breakfast, lunch & dinner {/ snacks} are always a little different. but here are some of the highlights! 🙂

^We finally checked out the Donut Shack, literally
a small shack with donuts 😉
Coffee & a coffee donut^

^Snacking on strawberries at the beach^

^Cranberry chicken salad, apples, lettuce & Munster cheese!^
courtesy of the mason jar

^We went to the Wequassett for apps & drinks the first night,
gorgeous view!^

The spread include: Hummus + pita,
melon zest salad, fish tacos, skewers,
tuna wrap, & oysters.
Something for everyone 🙂

Dinner the second night was at one of our favorite little spots.
Sesuit Harbor Cafe
It used to be a hidden gem.. but the line, I think the word got out.
Always reminds me of something Anthony Bourdain would
like to visit.

You go up to the window, order your meal & then they call it out by #s
It’s also BYO, I love drinking from a plastic cup 🙂
^In addition: from the raw bar I tried tuna sashimi.
I am not the biggest lobster fan, so I stuck
to my usual chicken & portabella salad-
That’s Georges lobster roll….. talk about tons of meat!

^Can’t forget about a little froyo^
Mango with coconut & strawberries
& PB cookie with brownie bites, walnuts & heath bar crunch.

Until next time : )

Today is going to be a catch up day.
Off to get things done
