* Kale chips * Oh kale yeah : )

So lately, I have been loving kale more and more. #1, if you do it right .. it taste phenomenal #2, so many health benefits! So, yeah.
Just those two got me hooked.

It took me awhile to come around to it, I remember when George introduced it to me {possibly 2 years ago} to go along side of one of our dishes. He said that growing up, he used to eat kale plus other collard greens. Which are great for getting rid of toxins! I was sold.

I love it boiled with: olive oil, some fresh garlic & lemon juice. Also, I like to sauté it with other veggies. Sneak some into a smoothie. And my new favorite. Kale Chips.

Don’t be alarmed if you eat them all just standing there. It’s much better than a bag of chips! 🙂 I thought that this would be perfect for WIAW, but taking it back to Sensible Snacking 🙂

         Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Spices of your choice <– I used salt, pepper & garlic!

    Directions:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees – spray with cooking oil.
  • With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasonings of your choice!
  • Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt { 10 to 15 minutes }
